As featured in last weekend’s Sunday Times, the Dr Khalique Medical Practice in Marylebone has formed a partnership with the renowned cognitive behavioural therapist, Rameez Ali.
The purpose of this collaboration is to establish a dedicated treatment service for the highly addictive drug called Captagon – an amphetamine that is currently being mass-produced in Syria and is rapidly spreading throughout the Middle East. The trade of Captagon is estimated to be valued at over £8 billion.
Although Captagon is not known to be available in the UK, there are several similar substances, both legal and illegal, that fall under the category of amphetamines. These include Adderall, Vyvanse, Dexedrine, Desoxyn, MDMA and Methamphetamine.
